We should start to think about a fund raiser for Special Olympics to send an athlete to Seattle for the nationals. Our former State Deputy Wayne Griffen was named to the board of Special Olympics. Congratulations to Wayne.
Our scholarship fund needs some help, so let’s put our heads together and build this needed fund for this year.
John Grzesik did another great job with carnations on Mother’s Day raising money for Birthright. John has chaired this event for several years. Thank You John.
We have a scheduled Blood Drive for Thursday June 14, 2018 help is always needed even if a brother Knight could show up for a few hours, every little bit helps.
We voted a donation to the Vacation Bible School headed by Christine Lemieux to be held 4 hours for 1 week in July. The monies are for shirts for the staff etc. Fr. Von attends this worthy cause.
Elections were held June 6, 2018, the new officers start on July 1, 2018. They are, Grand Knight – Norm Aubin, Deputy Grand Knight – William Brewster, Recorder – Peter Grigas, Treasuer – Donald Robey, Advocate – Phillippe Blanchette, Warden – Romeo Croteau, Inside Guard – Kevin Harrington, Outside Guard – Rob Orlep, 3 year Trustee – James Dolan.
Romeo requests for 10 K of C flags for our deceased brothers graves. The motion passed.
Keep in your prayers the younger brother of our dedicated and caring Financial Secretary Michael Melia. John need a liver transplant, thankfully his daughter Molly is a match. We voted a donation to defray costs, but that is only a drop in the bucket of medical costs, lost wages, recuperation and all kinds of bills. So let’s see if we can raise some money on our own to help this 62 year old man back on the road to recovery for we are all brothers in the eyes of God. Every little bit helps, don’t sweep this emergency aside, dig deep and help out. Send monies to Northeast Transplant Fund – https://helphopelive.org/campaign/14233 please help this family out.
This is my final Grand Knights Report for my health and my lovely wife’s health won’t allow me the time to run again. My replacement, Grand Knight Norm Aubin is a great and caring Catholic man who will do a wonderful job. I look forward to working with Erick Wright and Frank Gautreau as Trustees of our Council. May God Bless you and Keep you in the palm of his hands, always.
Vivat Jesus (Long Live Christ)
Your Worthy Grand Knight, James H. Dolan
