Greetings brother knights from the Warde Nursing and Rehab Center in Windham. I had an accident at home on October 30th, will spare the details, and here I am.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day. There is nothing like being able to spend the day with family and friends to celebrate and give thanks for the many gifts showered on us by Our Lord Jesus Christ.
I was informed that the Turkey Cheer was very successful and that there was plenty of food and fun to be had by all. I wish to extend a sincere Thank You to all of you who contributed to make this event a success. A Thank You to Erick Wright for recruiting youth in our community to help serve the meal and to perform other tasks as needed. A very special Thank You to John Costa who over many years has successfully put this event together.
This year’s State Raffle Ticket Sales was able to garner for our Council the amount of $334.50. Earlier this year Council members voted to donate these funds to The Pelham Food Pantry at St Patrick’s Parish. Thanks to all who helped sell tickets after Masses on September 22th and 23th, and to those who bought tickets and sold to family and friends.
Our next Blood Drive will be held on January 24th from 2:00 to 7:00 pm. l will not be able to participate in this event due to my injuries so l am asking the membership to please step up to assist Mike Melia and Don Robey to conduct this event.
The next business meeting will be held on December 5th at 7:00 pm with a planning meeting at 6:30 pm. Please try to attend both.
Vivat Jesus
